Further details on the Federation Student Ambassador Programme
Are you considering a career in the creative industries? Are you a passionate creative and looking for a new challenge? Explore your career options by being part of the Student Ambassador Programme of the Creative Industries Federation.
For current higher and further education students who have an interest in the creative industries, we are piloting a new Student Ambassador Programme. Our Student Ambassadors will be representatives for the Creative Industries Federation at their universities, helping to spread the word about events and opportunities in the creative industries while making the most of the insight, research, events and networking benefits that the Federation can offer them.
This programme has been developed following the great enthusiasm and energy demonstrated by the students that formed our youth delegation at our International Summit on 9 October.
Inspired by their feedback, we will be working together on a project demonstrating the career opportunities which are available within the creative industries. There are now more than two million jobs in the creative industries, but there still isn't enough general knowledge about the many different creative career options that are out there.
For their first project, students will be interviewing alumni from their university who are currently working in the creative industries, and developing materials (written, recorded (podcast) or filmed piece) which can be shared more widely.
1. Is this a paid position?
This is a voluntary position. Our student ambassadors will enjoy complimentary membership to the Creative Industries Federation, with benefits ranging from access to our research and insights through to events and networking opportunities and will also receive a complimentary ticket (worth £120) to one of our big-tent events.
2. How many hours will we be required to work?
There is no set amount of time you will be required to spend on this role.
3. Is there more detail available on the roles?
We are working to develop this role on an ongoing basis. We can assure you that this will be a light-touch role, which will give you opportunities to be involved with the work we are doing at the Creative Industries Federation and the chance to immerse yourself in the sector more widely.
To express interest or if you have any other questions/particular ideas or initiatives that you want to share with us, please contact our Membership Officer, Ted on firstname.lastname@example.org.
