Call for FutureFest Programme Advisers
FutureFest is Nesta’s flagship festival, presenting a blend of talks, debates, installations and immersive experiences to an interdisciplinary audience spanning a diverse range of sectors. Over the course of four editions, the festival has featured headline speakers from the worlds of politics, art, tech, music and civil society (such as Nicola Sturgeon, Annie Mac, Nick Clegg, Douglas Rushkoff, Akala, Ruby Wax, Edward Snowden, Vivienne Westwood, Brian Eno and Imogen Heap). In July 2018 Nesta held the largest FutureFest at London’s Tobacco Dock, with 200 speakers and performers, 13 installations and experiences across five stages.
Ahead of a new chapter for FutureFest, they are now appointing advisers to work alongside Nesta’s internal programming team to develop and produce content for a year-round FutureFest programme. They are seeking dynamic, networked individuals with experience of programme design and curation for relevant festivals, conferences, exhibitions and installations. The programming team will be designed to have a spread of expertise across the following domain areas:
- Science and emerging technologies;
- The arts (performing arts, visual and digital arts, music etc) and design;
- Politics and government;
- Civil society and social movements;
If you’re interested in finding out more about this opportunity please get in touch with the FutureFest team at firstname.lastname@example.org for further information. The deadline to submit proposals is 9am on 21st January, 2019.
