Dr. Paul Thompson announced as Creative Education & Careers Working Group
We are delighted to announce that Vice-Chancellor of the Royal College of Art, Dr. Paul Thompson, has been appointed as Chair of the Creative Education and Careers Working Group.
As well as his new role as Chair, Dr. Paul Thompson will join the joint board of the Creative Industries Federation and Creative England, who together form the non-profit group, Creative UK.
Dr. Paul Thompson said:
“As the UK builds back from the profound effects of the pandemic, there has never been a more important time to champion the creative industries. I'm delighted to be joining the board and I look forward to supporting the Creative Industries Federation to advocate on the issues that matter the most during this pivotal time, amongst them the vital importance of creative education and skills".
Caroline Norbury MBE, CEO, Creative Industries Federation and Creative England, said:
“We are delighted to have Paul join us as the latest addition to our Board, which comprises an exceptional mix of talent from across the UK’s creative industries. Paul brings with him a wealth of expertise through his leadership of three international institutions: the Royal College of Art, the National Design Museum in New York, and the UK’s Design Museum. We are enormously excited to be working with him on such a pivotal issue as creative education and skills, and can’t wait to see what he brings to the table.”
