A new art installation will see bollards at London Bridge station transformed with photographic prints

September 07, 2017

Bollard art is coming to London Bridge to help brighten the travelling experience of commuters.
MTArt has worked with Network Rail, the engineering company Costain and Team London Bridge, the business improvement district, to commission artist Jennifer Abessira to transform St Thomas Street outside the London station.
From September 15 to November 26, more than 70 bollards will be temporarily covered with prints of Abessira’s photographs in an installation called Don’t Think Twice.
Marine Tanguy, CEO of MTArt, said: “It’s an honour for both MTArt and our artist, Jennifer Abessira, to be a part of this project. The London Bridge community is vibrant, colourful and has the most incredible story, which will shine through Jennifer’s works.
“Telling stories visually and integrating art into our cityscape is very important to us as a company and I hope to see commuters smiling when looking at these 72 photographs.”
