Press Release: Take a Trip with Miracle Theatre in partnership with the Creative Industries Federation
Miracle Theatre is an award winning touring theatre company, based in Cornwall with a reputation for producing comic, highly entertaining and thought provoking shows suitable for anyone & everyone.
Since 1979 they have been touring to the far flung corners of the South West. Miracle’s outdoor productions have become a ‘must do’ activity and pop up in unexpected and extraordinary locations, including gardens, beaches, castles and clifftops.
Miracle, in partnership with the Creative Industries Federation, is thrilled to announce the digital release of its highly acclaimed adaptation of ‘The Tempest’ by William Shakespeare, freely adapted & directed by Bill Scott with original music by Jim Carey on YouTube arts channel, Perspective, on Monday 15 March 7pm GMT.
Having steadily grown a library of filmed productions, Miracle has released several titles for free throughout the pandemic on its own YouTube channel, but this exciting opportunity to premiere The Tempest on Perspective will enable Miracle’s work to reach an international audience and help raise funds to support new productions in 2021.
“The pandemic has made reaching new audiences and accessing new sources of income essential for the entire creative sector and this streaming initiative is part of the Creative Industries Federation’s contribution to support creative businesses. As Miracle Theatre get ready for their summer season of outdoor theatre, we’re pleased to be partnering with them to stream The Tempest and we hope to open similar doors for others in the weeks and months to come.” Terry Corby, Chief Commercial Officer, Creative Industries Federation
